Course schedule for the 2026 season (we welcome candidates with certifications from other ski associations, such as CASI, CSIA, NZSIA, SBINZ, etc.):
▪ Level 1 Instructor Course: 4 days, small groups of 8 participants;
▪ UK Level 2 Instructor Course: 4-day indoor course, small groups of 8 participants. This course is the off-season component of the new “4+4” format. After completing it, you'll only need to finish a 4-day mountain course during the snow season to receive full BASI Level 2 certification.
In addition to instructor courses, we’ll also offer a variety of riding improvement and park freestyle training sessions led by experienced BASI Level 4 trainers, giving you more opportunities to develop your skills on snow!

🗓 4-Day Schedule (Draft)
Daily 9:00 → 16:00 (lunch break included)
Format: Online modules and pre-course reading completed beforehand, so we hit the ground running.
Day 1 — Fundamentals
A full day on riding: identifying problems and areas to improve in your personal technique, with the goal of raising your own awareness. Video analysis in the late afternoon shows you exactly what to fix to pass.
Home study: equipment adjustment and board construction.
Day 2 — The Central Theme (CT)
The progression we teach beginners to get them through their first turns. Working in pairs, you deliver a mini session for each part. You choose a CT lesson to present — ideally one that targets a personal riding issue from Day 1.
Home study: lesson planning and running a good session using the TIED model; key elements to deliver.
Day 3 — Freestyle Fundamentals + Assessed Teaching
Morning: how the fundamentals apply to freestyle, working on 180s.
Afternoon: assessed lessons — a 15–20 minute session to the group on your chosen CT element. The trainer gives feedback and tells you whether you're at the level. You get 2 attempts on the teaching side; resits are on Day 4, so you have the evening to work on your feedback.
Day 4 — Personal Riding + Resits
Morning focuses on personal riding, with a video analysis session midway to see your progress. Time is set aside during the day for anyone re-doing their lesson. We finish on the slope around 15:00.
By the end of the day you must have met both the technical (riding) and teaching criteria.
Every day: there's practice time after the session — we strongly recommend using it to consolidate.
